The Skull Keys: A Short Fiction Adventure

She had been warned about stepping into the house. Yet it seemed as if something had beckoned her from the windows.

The skull keys were the first thing that drew her attention and the first she picked up. Cold air flooded in from windows that had seemed shut while a blast of heat hit her from the front. She screamed and dropped the keys.

Her school buddies shook in silent laughter from behind the curtain while she bade a hasty retreat.
