Thumby, the fork and I (Platy, the plate) sighed in unison. The Iphone fella was almost done while we felt the weight of ghosts of dinners, past and present. You may ask ghosts of dinners past?
But what else would you call it when I can remember every nick, every chip off and the hot high pressure wash post dinner? So does Thumby but unlike him, I dont wish for retirement. Joining a trash pile is hardly worth it.
Atleast I am bright and shiny here.

Ah, the life of the humble fork, the tool of the satisfied diner.
Thumby thanks you.
I hear those industrial dishwashing machines get really hot.
And how! Platy is glad of your understanding.
Now this is an original take on the prompt! Nicely done!
Thank you Dale. Glad you liked it.
Dear Lavanya
A different point of view. Cute story.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you, Rochelle
Nice look at a different point of view! I’m in the throes of a commercial dishwasher crisis at work though, so I don’t need to be reminded on a Sunday!!!
Bwahahaha. Thank you for writing in on a sunday!
Oh, this is rich! Clever take!
Clever take on the prompt. I like how you didn’t just use the point of view of one object but personified two buddies.
Thank you, glad you liked it.
